After more than 14 years working in frontend development, I’m finally launching my own site. Here’s why.

If you’ve been building web apps for over a decade, you’ve probably launched quite a few sites. This is just another one.

Why now?

I’ve never had a blog before. I always found reasons not to start. Lately, I realized that waiting for the perfect time or idea was just a way to avoid sharing. What finally convinced me was seeing how much I depend on other people’s posts to solve problems and learn. I want to give back to the community. Sharing what I know, even if it’s not perfect, feels overdue.

Over the years, I’ve picked up a lot working with frontend technologies, from vanilla JavaScript to React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and more. I’ve found that the best way to really understand something is to explain it to others. Writing helps me get clear.

What to expect

I’m not promising a posting schedule or trying to build an audience. This is mainly for me, a place to think out loud about:

If you find something useful here, great. If not, that’s fine too.

The setup

This site uses Astro and Pico CSS for styling. As for hosting, I haven’t deployed it yet. If you’re reading this, it’s probably still running locally in my dev environment.

The design is simple on purpose: system fonts, no tracking, no comments, and no newsletter signup. I left out comments to keep things focused. If you want to share feedback or get in touch, you can reach me at other places.

I’ve spent plenty of time in my career perfecting user interfaces. Now, I’m going back to basics and writing for clarity instead of clicks.

Let’s see how long this lasts.
